Senator Donahue was appointed to fill the District 5 Senate seat vacated by Kelli Ward. She was sworn in on January 7, 2016, to serve the remainder of the term. Born in Massachusetts, she has lived in Lake Havasu City in Mohave County since 2000 and has called Arizona her home since 1975. She and her husband Don have been married for 30 years and have two children and three grandchildren. Senator Donahue recently retired from the position of Administrative Assistant to Mohave County Supervisor Buster Johnson after 13 years. Senator Donahue serves on the committees on Public Safety, Military & Technology; State Debt & Budget Reform, and is the Vice Chair of the Financial Institutions Committee.
